Could God be Jon from Watchmen?
He was a human who just had powers we couldn't compete with but he wasn't all knowing or all powerful. I always thought intelligent design wasn't so unbelievable it was the stuff like God loves you but will send you to Hell and God can do anything but doesn't end suffering. What if God were just a guy who was really powerful but essentially not better than us? It would explain a lot of imperfections because the being who created us wasn't perfect.

Indeed. But in the end of the book he said he was going to a less complicated universe and said maybe he'd try his hand at creating human life. Struck me as interesting because of course humans would worship him since he can pretty much alter reality to his liking and that is a big part of what most people think of as God-like ability. But he isn't really God he is just some guy. So if he stopped showing up or showering his followers with miracles maybe he just got bored and left. Maybe God is three universes over and we are just foolish thinking we are so all important to him.

No. He could not be The Creator because he is still subject the the laws of the universe. He does have more direct control of the universe and could both act like a god to a group of people and possibly become The Creator of his own universe.

If he's not All-Knowing or All-Powerful then he is not God. Besides, His Name is Jesus Christ from Nazareth.
