Who will buy my car for cash?

Brand new tires, body in good shape, needs brake and trans work, does anyone know who will pay cash for junkers? I know about Pick a part and Ecology parts, any place else known? I live in the inland empire So. California.

Thanks!

You failed to mention what kind of car it is. First if you have the time and you're not under the gun to sell it . Put it on craigslist , do some research first to see how much its worth. Make sure you post pictures. Let it ride for at least 2 weeks and repost. If you don't get a response sell the tires and then call at least 3 or 4 salvage yards to see what they will give you for it.

You should ask a follow up question, that will give you a better idea of what the car is worth . Parts wise you could be sitting on a gold mine.

    Submit a new question . example .

I have a 1974 opel gt with new tires, doesn't run a lot of new parts.

What is it worth in parts? what can I get for salvage? Should I part it out? I think you will do a lot better that way.

The salvage yard may give you a$100 and pick it up. the same car might bring $1,000.00 in parts... new tires with wheels and spare $200, windshield $50, radiator$25 transmission $100 doors with glass $25 each , bumper $25 , radio new stereo with speakers.$50, starter $25 bucket seats $25 each . after everyone is done taking the parts off for you you can still call the salvage yard and they will pick it up and depending on the car give you$50 bucks.

    Good luck!

Drug dealers, and hitmen are usually willing to pay cash for cars like that.

    I'm not sure why......
