This guy "Reisingi"....has put it into the right aspect....with "consumerism", which is what "drives" especially the younger people these days....(I notice this with my daughter, Destiny)...she buys...has all appliances in her household....(much MORE than I have), but she still does not seem "content".....

Contentedness comes from within....way deep in your heart & soul...and NOT from any "Goods" I keep telling her.....when I see her unhappy"....My son (Jason, living in Houston) is even WORSE...I mean he's soooo materialistic, it's "pathetic"....He owns a huge mansion...(where 2 families could live, but he's by HIMSELF), 2 cars in the drive-way, Jewelry like "Mr.T" around his neck....NO ****, Adrian....You need to "talk to him"...because he got all "those things" you're talking about....but he has "no time for Y/A"....toooooo busy making $$$$$.....

So....to respectively answer your Q.- well...I guess people are motivated "differently" and have different "drives", honey....Me...I am content with the little I "have" (just a small Apt., no car, no jewelry), but I am content INSIDE....and what are all those "things"...when you don't have the MOST important things, which are: Health, Love and Peace....right? RIGHT ! So...don't "worry", if you don't have such a "strong drive" to accumulate "things", Adrian....Be happy and content INSIDE your SELF, which is much more rewarding after all !!!

If you were a self actualized person you would not have any desires. Everything would be fine as it is. But since you and I aren't, we have these desires and we turn to consumerism to fill the void in our existence. Doesn't really matter what we buy; we don't like "it". We like the idea of "it".

If you live in America, it's a little sentiment called "self-entitlement".
