can you burn music bought from itunes onto cd's?

i have tried to burn music that i bought on itunes onto a cd and it comes up with an error "4580", and cancels the burning and stops..have tried a few times with the same error..is it possible or are the songs protected?

Update:

I have tried with making a playlist and using the "burn" cd at the bottom..it starts and then is errors??

    You make a Playlist with the songs you want (including purchased songs from iTunes) and at the bottom left of the screen press Burn Playlist.

    It happens because Apple puts DRM protection on their music files. It can be removed, to learn how, go to instructables.com and searcn for how to rip DRM protection off music.
