Feedback/opinions on a short poem?
My LA teacher gave us a "creative writing assignment," and I wrote a poem. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
I saw the world through rose-colored glasses.
Everything was soft and pink.
No harsh lines. No jarring colors.
I saw the world through rose-colored glasses.
I took off the glasses for a short while.
The lines were sharp and jagged.
The colors were too vivid.
I put the glasses back on.
Someone took my glasses
And jumped on them ‘til they cracked.
The pieces lay scattered on the ground.
I stared and cried.
I see the world without my glasses.
I don’t cry anymore.
3rd stanza: changed "pieces" to "shards"

its good it comes from a different point and i love how scared you were of the world without your blanket of comfort and then got to know the real world and survived

wow! its staggering, remarkable and encouraging.. to stand reality it is something all persons can relate to.. that poem is unique from each and all the poem's i examine. according to hazard if it became revealed people might open their eyes and face reality merely like what you stated. u might even make a distinction!
