can i still gauge my ears if i have scar tissue?

i have scar tissue in my earlobes from having them pierced as a child, but then they got infected and i had to take them out, its actually happened twice, but the 2nd because i was to impatient to wait....*sigh* but is it still possible to gauge my earlobes? i dont want to go very big.

    Scar tissue loses it natural elasticity. It also bleeds heavily. My advice is don't. You may end up with more than you wanted and a misshapen earlobe. My friend had to have plastic surgery to repair a very large whole in a dangle lobe. You don't want that.

    i agree with the answerer above me.

    Scar tissue doesn't stretch. I'd give it up.

    Some people, ( thinking of my oldest daughter) can't have metal in their bodys. The poor kid had a belly button piercing and twice, got infected,and her ears?? Too many to count!

    I think so, but it would talk to the piercer. Plus, scar tissue makes it hurt even more.

    i don't think you should risk putting a huge hole in when a simple earring piercing caused a serious infection twice as a child.
