So what did Easter mean to anyone this year?

Yesterday I went to church and not only celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but also saw five people baptized; I think that's cool.

I was camping. Yes, it was a bit chilly outside, but still a beautiful day to be camping.

I don't celebrate Jesus's resurrection. While I do see it as important, I see his sacrifice as being waaaaaayyyyy more significant.

I had (probably) some christian come into my yard and steal over 2 dozen daffodils, probably to give to their mom/gma/girlfriend/on their table which was a bit unnerving. So it meant I had to spend the day putting up fencing around the remaining flowers and called the police today. I live way out of the way on a dirt road, so someone had to be watching the gardens and my home to know when to be here to get them.

Niccee! Here mom/gma/honey have some stolen flowers!

So, it is a good thing I am a buddhist and non-violent! But I am being extra careful and changing my schedule around to not be so predictable, and keeping the curtains open so the dogs can warn me the next time people are in my yard.

so Easter weekend is now the officially the day(s) I became uncomfortable in my own home. Great!

To me Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. To the little ones, I think it just means the Easter Bunny comes, they get to hunt for eggs and get a basket full of goodies.

Well, it meant most of the snow is gone now... hopefully the end of days below freezing. And very soon now- the first spring flowers.. I hope. LOL Spring is pretty far behind this year. So much for global warming.

Honestly- we keep Christ risen and in our thoughts all the time- we don't really need one "holy day" a year to do so.

But the spring feast day is a wonderful reason for the family to get together and have a great day. And what a great excuse for Gramma to give the wee ones a bit of candy and spoil them.

Yesterday I burped and farted like everyday (Sunday's just another day) but I guess Easter is special the girls at the strip club dress up like fuzzy bunnies and and "bad" little ducks I saw one girl squat down and hide five Peeps at once (what a coinkydink). Then she shot them into the mouths of eager patrons for $10 a pop (what a bargain!). I won't tell you what she did with the chocolate bunnies. Oh and 1/2 priced drinks to boot! Man! that was mega cool!

That's awesome! I love to celebrate the resurrection. It's the most important day of the year!

for me it is always a time of deep introspection. some parts are very difficult when i put my life under the microscope and then the pain and agony of the Good Friday services really brings it home. however sunday always comes with the glorious mass of the Resurrection and the gloria hallelujahs and ringing of the bells and ooh the wonderful feeling that Christ is truly Risen and with us in all things!!

Staying up late to fill and hide easter baskets, then getting woken up early to be shown what they found. Yeah me...

Ooh, I did get a couple of good books too, though, and we spent an hour or so at the book store reading as a family. That was nice.

My cousin was confirmed this year on Easter, so for me (at least this year) it was a time of reflecting on my own confirmation and being proud of hers. It was also about being thankful to have my daughter telling everyone she was proud of her cousin for loving Christ. It's great to hear that from a 7 year old.

A celebration for Jesus. It was also my grandparents 33 year anniversery. Very great day
