Will A Guppy Mate With a Betta?
I was just wondering, will a MALE GUPPY mate with a FEMALE BETTA.
because u know guppy are ealy to breed, will it breed with a female betta? making a HYBRID fish guppy/betta?
is it possible?

It's not possible. Guppies are livebearers, meaning they actually give birth to the fry. Bettas are egg layers and need a female and male to get eggs. So therefore, it's not possible.
I hope you don't try breeding them or something like that.

R u kidding? No. Like others have answered bettas are egg-layers that build bubble nests and guppies are live bearers. Also, bettas are from a whole other family of fish called labyrinth fish that have a special organ that allows them to breath air from the surface of the water whereas guppies do it the old fashion way: through their gills. They are not dogs, you can not inter-breed fish unless they are the same exact species of fish.

Sorry, it wouldn't work. Guppies have a totally different reproductive system than bettas. If you want to breed fish, both bettas and guppies are fairly easy to breed. Betta do require more care, though.

Bettas and Guppies may both be fish, but they are not related. They come from very different families with very different breeding patterns, they cannot hybridise. They are as closely related as you are to a spider monkey.
