border collie problem?

i have a new16 week old long haired collie, the problem is one of his back feet are deformed- its hard to explain but one of his paw pads is split in two and half of it has the claw on it but it sort of hangs off! any advice? i will be taking him to the vet but was worried.

    im not sure what sort of advice you are asking for.

    i wouldn't be surprised if the vet has to take away the claw if it is hanging off to much. no claw is better than risking having it ripped off if it is too loose.

    being such a young puppy, and this sounding like a fairly small deformity, your pup should grow up used to it and will lean how to deal with it straight off. it will probably grow up to be relatively happy and healthy dog.

    Best of luck, hope the deformity is as simple and minor as it sounds.
