Have you ever in your life used an out house?

Also known as an outdoor toilet. I'm betting not too many people have ever used one.

A long time ago during childhood I would have to use one when we visited our distant relatives in the country. But did you know that outhouses are still used nowdays in the construction industry?

On construction sites "porta-cans" or "porta-potties" are frequently used since they are of a temporary nature. Sure, they smell awful. But the real problem is when you go into one and find liquid or soft poop spread all over the seat, caused by a construction worker who has been out drinking all night (as mosst do) who gets up on top of the frame, shoes and all and lets go (he's afraid of germs), leaving this crap spread all over everything. A lot of people get sick when they see this and others just hold it in all day long until they get home.

I had to use one up to the age of seven. It was not a pleasant experience, particularly in the winter, with no heating, lighting or mains sewerage connection.

It was the only place to poo when we went over the river and through the woods to grandma's house.

Source(s): Grandma also used snuff. According to Jeff Foxworthy, I might be a redneck.
