So do you really think that we are all one big accident?

I have more proof of God then filling him in my heart in fact we are proof,my life has been changed and even my life has been saved,we have proof and some day we will all see God face to face, and you don't have to answer my questions if you do not want to, you don't have to even read them if your not interested in this topic.I am not being disrespectful, I am just interested in understanding other views and why you feel this way?and how you can rule out God when we are alive and breathing,I mean it is so clear that we have a creator.

I appreciate your feeling, but there isn't one sentence in your entire tirade that makes any sense.

Beyond that, I'm happy that you are happy.

We are not an accident. We are the result of a slow, cumulative biological process of evolution through natural selection. This process, like many other natural processes, can result in the appearance of design even when a designer is not required.

Your "proof" is based on your personal feelings and not empirical evidence. You should consider that, if you subscribe to a specific religion, in other parts of the world people have the EXACT same feelings as you about a different God or prophet than you worship.

There are also people who are absolutely sure they have experienced reincarnation, alien abduction, or demon possession with the same conviction that you have in your beliefs.

The mind is a powerful thing. If you want to believe in something badly enough you can usually convince yourself it's true.

The cosmos, our humanity, and other aspects of the natural universe are wondrous, awe-inspiring, and also very mysterious; but invoking the supernatural will only hinder our ability to better understand them.

You see, this is where we differ. You think that everything is created for your enjoyment. That everything is created with the creation of you in mind. I simply don't think that I am important enough to warrant that. I think it much more likely that we came into being because the Universe existed, not because someone wanted us to come into being.

I don't believe in a God. But if there is a creator of some kind, I highly doubt it is of the personal genre. Rather, it seems much more likely that this God would be quite indifferent to our existence. I don't see why people think that humans are so important? Look at the universe, it is incredibly huge, how significant can we really think we are?

i can rule out god the same way i can rule our Xenu and his galactic hydrogen bombs, because there is no proof. the bible and your feelings are not proof, that fact that we are alive is not proof.

and no i dont think we were an accident, that would imply that someone or something was there before we came into being and it inadvertently created us. no i believe we are a coincidence, a product of an infinite number of universes with an infinite number of differences, in atleast one of them there was going to eb some life at one point or another, it just happened to be this planet.

I can rule out god because I am alive and breathing because that's how things turned out.

Barnacles are alive and breathing. I don't see them going to church on sunday.

I have absolutely no proof in the existence of God whatsoever. If you could tell me what proof you have, I'd be interested.

I don't believe things are truw because we 'feel' it.

I beleive in reality, fact, and logic.

I'm not saying religous peple dont, but I'm saying I've seen none of that in the explanations given by those who believe when asked why they do.

Feelings of elation aren't proof of God. I can feel elated for finally tracking down the remote control. Simply wanting there to be a God isn't proof that a God exists. I want there to be a million dollars in my checking account; but there isn't even a thousand in there.

Our existance is proof that a sperm and an egg, properly combined, results in reproduction on the part of our parents. Our parents are proof of the same factor involving their parents, and on it goes.

I wouldn't call us "accidents," since that implies that *someone*, somewhere, meant to do differently. I'd say we all beat the odds. Back to the sperm and egg discussion, the sperm that began your life had to race against millions of others just like it. Had any one of the other sperms fertilized your mother's egg, you might have been male. You might have been retarded or deformed. You would have been subject to whatever DNA that sperm dictated you receive. In order to be who you are, the odds were millions to one against.

Accidental? No. Just a million to one shot. Just like the odds that our planet might not have been able to support life at all.

In the formation of the solar system the earth happened to be at spot that was conducive to the beginning of life. We don't know what the conditions were at that time but they were right to start life. The rest of it is evolution.

Just because you feel god in your heart does not make god a real person nor is it proof. I can say that unicorns exist or leprechauns exist or one of those imaginary creatures exist because I can feel them in my heart.

Not so much an accident, but a result of things which happened by chance . That your mother and father met and had you in the first place was chance. Of all the millions of girls your father could have met , he met your mother. That is chance.

When your mother's egg was fertilized by your father's sperm, there were millions of sperms that could have fertilized the egg. But the one that did fertilise the egg resulted in you. That is chance.

When you say "God" , which god are you referring to? Hundreds of them have supposedly existed over time.

I can only suggest that you read the book " The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, then you may understand.

I have more proof of God then filling him in my heart.

-Having feelings isn't 'proof of God'.

Some day we will all see God face to face.

    -I doubt that.

    why you feel this way?

-I don't 'feel' that we are all one big accident.

how you can rule out God when we are alive and breathing?

-Living and breathing doesn't require a deity of any sort.

it is so clear that we have a creator.

    -No it isn't.

It's not clear to me at all. Where is your proof? Just your feelings? If that's the case, then I could say that I feel Bruce Willis loves me. That must make it fact if I can feel it and if I believe with all my heart that he does.

Come back with some real "proof" and we'll talk.

This is a relaxed version of teleological argument, which fails.

We came out of series of chaotic events that by chance resulted in our existence. The evidence of this is mountainous. You just have to go read science books, watch scientific documentaries, go to science museums, etc.
