Moving in with my mom, but not packing for the guilt trip with my husband.?

My husband and I of 11 years are separating and I am moving to another state where my mom lives. The spark of the current situation stems from my husband's unwillingness to help me keep the rent paid, and we are losing our house. I need to get away, I need the space and time to figure this out. While my husband is telling our son it might be a year before they see each other again because married people don't take breaks. We have had a marriage of convenience for 5 years now. This is not a life. Everyone is miserable. Am I doing the right thing?

Your the only one who can answer this. If your husband isn't pulling his share without good reason then what good is he? You and your son pick up and move on and make a better life for yourselves.

Yes, you are. Why do parents have to say things to kids like this?? Don't they realize they cause undo stress and harm to their childrens minds and hearts? Reasure your son on these matters.

    Good Luck with the move!!
