Muslims: do you accept Naskh?
For Muslim answerers only please, do you personally accept the concept of Naskh? If not, how do you explain the contradictions in the Qu'ran?
What is the general breakdown in the Muslim community of those who accept Naskh and those that don't (do more Muslims accept Naskh than those that don't, or vice versa)?
If you do accept Naskh, what do you think about its historical and directional implications?
Naskh is the concept of abrogation, by which later text is given higher meaning than earlier text, in effect canceling it out or "abrogating" it when conflicts occur.

some ayahs of the Holy Quran were discarded that is called naskh .
Yes you have to accept it.
one example is the ayah in the 4th page of surah nissah (women) about zina (adultery) Which says that if a woman does it then let her sit at home (lock her at home)
and then when the prophet migrated to madinah the rajm (stoning and the lashing) rule was revealed in the beginning of surah noor (light)
Again i am sorry but i am too lazy to give the proper references
