Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Question?
Hello! My fiance and I are having our wedding at a local park on May 31. I thought I had just about every detail down, until I thought of this - our ceremony is scheduled at 1:00 pm. As most people would, some will probably arrive early, like 12:30. Since it is a small gathering and seating will only be provided for those who need it (grandparents, etc), does anyone have any input as to where to have these people go while they're waiting for the ceremony to begin? I thought maybe have a table set up outside with some beverages, the guest book, etc. Do you think that would be appropriate? The reception is going to be held in the building we have rented in the park, but I don't want people floating around in there and getting stuck in there, making the ceremony late. Advice is appreciated!
Have a good weekend!
Good point about the alcohol, there is no drinking permitted on the premises which is a plus in our book. Thanks!

i honestly like your idea i would have two tables set up one that has a frame with a thick border for people to write on a message so you can put a wedding photo in so i would provide two black markers along with a sign in book
and one with bottled water i would not do anything with color like wine or lemonade due to most parks do not allow public drinking i wouldn't want the bumpy path be a obstacle for my guests with something in there had esp woman that might have a purse or something or even a camra.
ooo i like annabella's idea of a umbrella you can pick some up at walmart with the stands i bet you could pick up a few creamed colored ones like the ones you use for the deck area and then you can take them down and bring them to the reception area esp for outside areas that you might take photos to be out of the sun.
also on the tables you might bring some sun screen and put it on the tables. pending where you live it might be hot and super sunny
also you might consider freezing the water it will be melted by the end of the wedding so they can also still have it cold after the wedding so you can take photos....
and provide napkins for condensation on the bottles

When I started planning I was considering the park idea too & that's what I was thinking would be best is to set up a drink station. Maybe you could have one table with some water kept on ice, sodas, apple juice, etc. and then another table for the guest book. You might want to consider having that under a covered area or umbrella if it's going to be hot where you live so people can mingle before the ceremony starts.

For the older folk, make sure that the restrooms are near by!!
Make sure that there are shady spots for them to hang around in.
Best wishes on your upcoming special day!
