Adam and Eve didn't exist.
However, Mitochondrial "Eve" (matrilineal most recent common ancestor of all currently living humans) and Y-chromosomal "Adam" (patrilineal most recent common ancestor) did have belly buttons.

You know how when a person is baking and they poke at the top of the cake to test it's rebounding it see if it's done? I think God has enough of a sense of humor to poke Adam(and Eve) in the belly and say, Yep your done! The original belly buttons would then have been God's finger print. How cool would that have been!
All joking aside nobody knows for sure, but I like my idea.

There would be no reason for them to have belly buttons, since God created them without a mother.

Belly buttons are merely remnants of the umbilical cord.
A man made from dirt and a woman made from a rib would have no use for such a thing.

No, they also had no genitalia which is why Eve and Adam were gender nuetral names until she snowballed adam and they were kicked out of the garden.
