We, the general populus, are just sheep that work our *sses off to grow a coat only to have the rich and powerful shear us every few years.
The Fed, congress and the White House (current and past presidents of both parties) only care about our well-being to the extent that they placate us just enough that we don't rebel.
Source(s): The current "no strings attached" $750+ billion financial bailout (and the fact that we've put the same people in charge of the bailout as the ones who caused the crisis in the first place), the current trillion dollar stimulus package, the hundreds of billions spent on politically powerful giant contractors like Haliburton and Blackwater for Iraq reconstruction that have mysteriously disappeared, the S&L scandal in the 80's, the huge and unnecessary government subsidies for giant agribusiness and about a hundred other fiascoes. - 1 decade ago

No. why would they their a group private offshore banks. The money we pay them they loan back to us at interest. Its a complete fraud. Federal income tax wasn't even legal until 1913. Before the Federal Reserve we were the most prosperous we ever had been. Less than 20 years after the Federal Reserve system we have the Great Depression. The Federal Reserve is no more federal than federal express. We pay all this money in taxes to them but they have never been audited. WTF!!

The Federal Reserve only assists Congressmen, Senators, and the President to pay off their special interest friends.
