How much do repairs cost on sprint or midget cars after an accident?
I've always wondered how much repairs cost after a midget flips and rips its suspension up, because it seems that no matter what, all the local guys are back with a working car next Saturday night.

It can depend. Sometimes during a flip, you can roll the car over and push off again, with no damage.
Usually the radius rods break or bend, which are fairly cheap. I try and straighten all parts that are bent in a press. Usually that cures a majority of the damage.
When things break is when it gets costly:
Front axle: $150
Rear End: $1800
Wheels: $75 to $450
My most costly accident so far was $3200.
My cheapest one was $70.
If you've ever heard the phrase that racers "beg, borrow and steal", that's how a majority get back on the track the next week.
Obviously the funded teams can just roll a new car out of the trailer, or have complete front of rear ends ready to bolt on. I dont have that luxury, but if you know someone that wants to sponsor a midget, let me know! :)

To replace a sprint cup car some where between 150,000.00 to 200,000.00. However the cars are builted so that you can replace the front clip or rear clip. front end damage (front Clip frame from firewall to nose of car. Rear clip from drivers compartment to bumper). some where between 30,000.00 to 60,000.00 if new body parts are used.
