Soaking a tattoo is a big no-no. You need to wait AT LEAST 2 weeks. Plus, pools, hot tubs, and the ocean are great ways to get an infection in your new tattoo. Stay out of the water until all the scabbing, peeling, and itching is done.

You shouldn't go swimming that soon. You should wait for the tattoo to heal, which can be up to 2 weeks.

when you saturate the tattoo while it is healing, like in a pool or bath, it draws the ink out, i tattooed a girl who took a long bath right after getting a tattoo and it almost completely disappeared.
