What's the best romance or horror anime/manga of late 2008 & this 2009?

In your opinion of course.

I haven't been up to date with this, and am looking for something to pop up and interest me.

No luck, suuuu lazy.

Anyone have some good suggestions?

    most of those are action and horror type anime

    some also have manga counter parts. (some do have a lil bit of romance as well)

    Best romance lately:

    Junjou Romantica <-- yaoi!!

    Clannad and Clannad After Story - really funny, sweet, and sad

    Skip Beat - really funny and great storyline, some romance too

    Nodame Cantable season 2 - paris chapter! Watch season 1 for sure if you haven't =P

    tail of the moon

    miki falls

    yurara

    afterschool nightmare

    (those are romance)

    Vampire Knight! hahahaha xD It's on my top list :] although many are on my top list haha

    Rosario + Vampire - its ecchi, and theres some comedy...the only thing scary is the monsters haha
