Hmmmmm...... I have 2 of those magazines and they haven't caused me a problem..... My only complaint about any hi-point magazine is they are kind of a bit picky how you have the cartridge put in the magazine.....
Look over this article... Especially where they show the photo on how the bullet has to be pointed a certain way or it wont feed properly (right - wrong)......

Are you putting the cartridges in right?....
The other thing I noticed about the 995 is there would be a few feedway jambs or fail to feed issues when it was new..... After a few magazines of ammo were fired thru is when the rifle starts performing flawlessly.....
If the 15 round mags wont work then forget them.... BUY a few 10 round magazines to have on hand.... Mine only came with 1.... It was a pain to be shooting, run out of ammo then have to stop and spend a minute or 2 reloading the magazine.... Get a few more 10 rounders and have then all ready when your shooting.....
ALSO --- I dont know how much shooting you have done with this Hi-Point 9MM rifle -- But once you get the sights figured out you will realize this is a decently accurate rifle.... I have a machine shop make some steel plates and have them set op at 75 and 100 yards.... This gun has no problems ringing the gong at these distances.... It is probably more accurate but my old eyes are only good to those distances...... Once you get your eyes adjusted to the factory sites this gun is a dream to shoot....

Knowing ahead of time I'm going to get Thumbs Downs and probably hate emails, I'm giving my opinion anyway.....
"ProMag" and "Hi Point" are two of the most unreliable product names in the firearms industry.
These aren't quality precision products, they are cheaply made plastic and sheet metal. Get out the file and the pliers and make that thing fit as best as it can.
