happy birthday in egyptian arabic?

It is عيد ميلاد سعيد (eid milaad saeed), but in most of the informal situations when Egyptians want to tell somebody "happy birthday", they say كل سنة وانتي طيبة (kol sana wenti tayeba) to a girl and كل سنة وانتا طيب (kol sana wenta tayeb) to a boy.

@ NEFERTARI: It is not true that Egyptians do not celebrate their birthday. Actually birthday parties in Egypt are over the top with live singers and are videotaped as if it was a wedding. And that is a kids party! I think when they get older, they tend to celebrate less but that is the same in any culture - people once they reach a certain age prefer not to celebrate the fact that they are getting older.

Birthday parties are very common in Egypt. When I was teaching 2nd grade we had at least one birthday party every 2 weeks! LOL

Extremists do not celebrate birthdays. Then again, they don't celebrate much of anything.

EDIT: In Galal Amin's book - Whatever Else Happened to the Egyptians, he says:

"This change in attitude to birthday parties during the last 50 years reflects other important changes that have occurred to Egyptian society during that time...Much of what can be observed in children's birthday parties today reflects this change of attitude toward childrearing. Indulging our children with gifts and luxuries reflects partly a belief in our ability to form their personalities...So emerged the custom of celebrating birthday parties outside the home: at a club or sometimes even at hotels...This change in the way people view birthday celebrations was no doubt partly a result of the rise in incomes and of greater contact with the West..."
