Why is, in itself, a presumption. Say, Man is mortal, then consider what this means to you. Say, humanity can be unkind. Consider what causes this, what it means. The answer is to look for the answer. Philosophy is more the study of life than the knowledge of it, and it is tool that makes life worth living.
