Eh... $100? For a horn that is nearly impossible...
If you want to spend under 100 dollars, I recommend the recorder...
But... There are some options. Look on Craig's list online or eBay... Or a local trading post. You might be able to find some cheaper ones, but 100 dollars will be very unlikely.
If at all possible, have somebody play the instrument for you before you buy a used one. Like your teacher... That is only if the instruments are near you...
I'm trying to sell a saxophone. Wanna buy that! =]
But yeah. There's plenty of places you can look... Also try looking at schools. Some schools let people (if they go to the school... You high school aged?) borrow the instruments.
You might try renting... ? Eh... Most of the time renting programs are a bit rip off but sometimes they are worth it...
Good luck!

examine your community Craig's record or attempt Ebay. the proper wager for a high quality double horn could be from a music save. Renting in basic terms expenditures approximately 3 hundred$ a 365 days and at last they'll provide it to you for not extra value. this is how I have been given my Hans Hoyer double horn. it truly is in great venture with a impressive tone. not on the industry however:) yet I heavily did see some solid gadgets on Ebay and Craig's record so which you ought to examine it out. better of excellent fortune, Arun G

Less than $100???? Are you crazy? Unless you want junk, I suggest you go spend more on a quality French Horn. No one would sell their French Horn for less than $100 unless it's completely useless and in desperate need of repair.

$100 is on the low side for a horn, you can get one but it won't play well at all and it will make learning it much harder than it needs to be. Look for a Single horn if you are just learning they are cheaper and less mechanics to worry about early on. If you get serious you will want a double horn
www.hornplayer.net has some free classifieds that would be worth checking out
be careful with ebay, some (maybe alot) of whats advertised is junk. Also check local music stores that sell used instruments.

try a garage sale, because no one in there right mind would sell a good, functional french horn for that price
u could ask my neighbor, but it would only be under $100 only because he use to hide his weed in there
