part of the game. you should see soccer (futbol) games.

i assure you... that if we had "city" anthems, the visiting team would always be booed. don't act so shocked. what do you expect? people to cheer? it's not a "declaration of war". people boo the refs. do you want the refs to form a Political Action Group and fight for their rights? who cares? it's part of the freaking game you "holier - than - thou... this - is - beneath - me" zealots!

there are more exciting parts of the game to watch and discuss.

Basically the response of immature people who live in a cocoon.

On the other hand, don't forget maybe 15 years ago, Yankee fans(who have of course the most class of any fans in the world) used to boo the Canadian anthem when the Blue Jays would come to NY and kick the Yankees A$$.

  • Complete and utter b***s**t.

Look...boo the other team all you want. But leave the anthems alone. Stand in silence for two minutes. Go get a beer or something. Use the toilet. Just don't boo.

  • Very rude. I personally sing both anthems when both are played. If I was at a sporting event and another country's anthem was being played I would stand and if I knew the words would sing it as well.

Last year in Philadelphia, when the Flyers played the Canadiens Philadelphia fans booed when they sung O Canada. 100 % disrespectful.

Respect. People in today's society don't have it. With all the Middle Easterners coming to America, they don't have respect for their OWN country. In Junior High students from Iraq wouldn't even stand during the national anthem. The teacher told them to stand, they would just say, "Why this country dont do nuthin for me, I hate it."

    Just disgusting.

completely disrespectful. that just shows how 'unclassy' you are. booing is so rude. you dont have to clap, you dont have to cheer, but dont boo. the bruins fans didnt disrespect them like that. but i'm glad we are 3-0 because they dont deserve to win.

  • I thought it was disrespectful and if they thought it was going to piss off the Bruins fans they were right.

Disrespectful. But then again, what do you expect from that bad of a city?
