Military veterans, are you ok with the gov. profiling you as a possible threat to our country?

With your military training, are you a threat to our Constitution? Should our government be concerned with your oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic?

I am a vet and am extremely unhappy about this profiling by government agencies of our military veterns who have served honorably with very little pay I might add. What an insult!

Update:

I don't lie. I asked a question. Thanks for participating.

It's not the government that is calling us terrorists, it is a group of criminals who do not believe in our form of government. They do not like the idea of Constitutional government. It is THEY who are the real terrorists.

We veterans need to expose these individuals who have contempt for our Constitution and for us. We need to inform other Americans including law enforcement, that these people represent a real threat to our freedoms.

We need to stay on good terms with law enforcement and oppose their efforts to demonize us. Every law enforcement officer, just as everyone who serves in the military takes an oath to support and defend our Constitution. Unlike these miscreants, we take our oath seriously.

Remember, these individuals are NOT the government. They are individuals who are supposed to be serving the public. They work for us. We are the government, not they.

We need to expose them as a threat to Constitutional government.

WASHINGTON – For the first time, an accused domestic terrorist is being added to the FBI's list of "Most Wanted" terror suspects.

Daniel Andreas San Diego, a 31-year-old computer specialist from Berkeley, Calif., is wanted for the 2003 bombings of two corporate offices in California.

Authorities describe San Diego as an animal rights activist who turned to bomb attacks and say he has tattoo that proclaims, "It only takes a spark."

A law enforcement official said the FBI was to announce Tuesday that San Diego was being added to the "Most Wanted" terrorist list. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the announcement ahead of time.

San Diego would be the 24th person on the list, and the only domestic terror suspect.

Well Veterans are not on the list Yet so until then that is just speculation.

And it was Republican Bush that Fathered the Patriot act and Homeland Security to begin with >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I am not very happy about this and I do believe that it is an insult to those of us who have taken the oath of service. House Minority Leader John Boehner, Ohio Republican, said yesterday that Homeland Security owes veterans an apology for characterizing them as terrorists and I couldn't agree more.

Hmmm I havent heard anything of this. Is the government profiling military vertans as threats to the country b/c of what we have been trained?

Edit: As a college student I dont get to watch the news everyday, so I dont know of EVERYTHING going on around the world. The best I can do it look up news on CNN every other day around my homework "schedule."

    Evie,

I am a Vet, but i am really getting tired of this misinformation being passed.

Also, i really don't like the fact that a political party is exploiting my service to further there agenda.

The report says NOTHING ABOUT TARGETING VETS AS A THREAT.

what it says is that veterans returning from war will be prime targets for RECRUITMENT by domestic terrorist organizations.

Would you please read the document, it is in PDF format.

And stop this mis information you are spreading, it is not fair to Vets, and only helps to further your political agenda, and that is not why we fought.

Freedom of speech doesn't mean spreading lies!

    Yeah, I agree with James.

That's what I heard too. Not that we're being profiled, but that we are a target.
