My 6 week old baby slept all day AND all night...?

Usually at night my daughter goes to bed at 9pm, wakes up three times for feeds, is then awake by 8:30 and has a nap for a few hours at around 1pm. Last night she slept from 9pm - 6am, had a feed and went back to sleep and has continued to do this all day! I'm grateful that she slept all night, but I'm wondering if anyone elses babies did this and if I need to be concerned at all? She's usually a very alert baby so it's a bit out of character!

Thanks in advance :D

    Completely normal dont worry!

They have so many growth spurts, one of which is 6 weeks and then every 4-6 weeks after, my son did exactly the same and i remeber phoning my hubby in panic wondering what was up with him!! He'd sleep all day and night and then only have about 2 bottles in 24 hrs and this went on for about 3 days!

But trust me its completely normal, and if you have any worries what so ever call the doctor or Health Visitor to rest your mind.

    Hope this helps! x

As long as she's eating and gaining weight, you need not worry about her sleeping. She's still growing like crazy and needs the rest!

I wouldn't be too concerned you can try waking her up and play with her a little maybe she is just being a little lazy
