Good afternoon class....please open up your textbooks to page 39, we will be dissecting Bohemian Rhapsody!!!?

Since the song is at least ten eargasmic, (oh yeah, I just used the word eargasmic) songs in one brilliantly mashed up masterpiece...which part stikes you, dear Queen listener, the most??

Is it:

0:00-0:48

The "Is this the real life, is this just fantasy...." introduction?

0:48-2:36

The "Mama, just killed a man, put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger now he's dead, Mama, life had just begun, but now I've gone and thrown it all away, Mama ooOOOOoooo..." ballad type part?

2:36-3:03

Could it be Brian's brilliant guitar solo?

3:03-4:07

Or is it that lovely operatic bit, with Freddie proclaiming, "I've added a few more gallileos my dear"....

4:08-4:55

The hard rock part (where it is against the law to not at least attempt a head bang)...have you ever felt the urge to stone someone and spit in their eye? I told my sister I was going to do that to her and she just looked at me funny...ah well....

4:55-5:55

The "Nothing really matters, anyone can see, nothing really matters, nothing really matters to me..." outro...oh, and we can't forget that brilliant gong : )

So....?

Update:

PS, long time no see, how is everyone doing here??

Update 2:

Poppy!!!

haha...that's right, he is your husband!! What with our time machine and what not : )

Update 3:

FFAFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!

Update 4:

Yay! Poppy, you caught my 39 reference! I didn't think anyone would!

    STONE! How the devil are you? I've missed you, chick. :-)

    It's my husbands epic solo, then the headbanger spectacular, then the gong.

    (it's basically the whole song, but since we're dissecting it...)

    How many people do you think will mention Waynes World? *shakes head sadly*

    Edit;

    Haha, of course ;-)

    *sigh* that's two comments so far...

    And I love the fact you picked page 39;

    Clever, miss musical soul mate!

    Edit (again);

    Of course I did! Haha.

  • I enjoy from the beginning right to end. It’s a master piece of genius.

    The part I like the best 4:06-4:55: heavy rock, reason being the music is divine, in a sense these were visions seen by Freddie Mercury. He also wrote the guitar riff for Brian May. The actual wording and composure throughout the entire song is a kind of mystical mythology and art. Its high level understanding, people assume that it’s a mere facade, but, expressions such as “So you think you can stone me”, require some diverse knowledge and analysis. To put the context into words and song was rather special.

    I'm doing fine, you?

    The song is just fantastic but the part that gets me (apart from May's solo and the hard rock part) is 0:48-2:36.

    The Mama, just Killed a man.....

    Source(s): Sometimes wish I'd never been born at all.....

    Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a lanslide, No escape from Reality. Open your eyes, Look up to the skies and see. I'm just a poor boy. I need no sympathy. Because I'm easy-come, easy-go. A little high, A little low. Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me.

    Welcome back dear! I'm doing great! Lots of Queen and Rock N' Roll!! xD

    Page 39.. mmmh.. it reminds me of a Queen song :)

    This is so hard to choose..... I totally love the amazing ballad type part (0:48-2:36), and the beautiful, wonderful, hard to describe outro (4:55-5:55).

    So teacher, what's my mark?

    Can I pick all of it Stone? How can I possibly pick a favorite part of my favorite song EVER?

    OK, fine I will...

    :48 - 2:36. Freddie's voice haunts me. The best vocal part of the song, hands down!

    Although classic rock radio stations kill this song with it's many plays, I still enjoy it from time to time.

    :48-2:26 is by far my favorite part in the whole song.

    *I'm fine, we've had a trolling issue, but it's a bit better now.

    My all time least favorite song that I hate. This song makes me want to stick knitting needles in each ear. I can remember the first time I heard this and I hated it then. Fat Bottom Girls is the only song by Queen that doesn't make me turn the radio off. Did I mention that I hate this song?
