Any good wedding ring tattoo ideas?
My hubby & I are looking into getting a wedding ring tattoo done on our anniversary. However... we're having trouble picking a design. We would prefer something that is just on the top, although a band isn't out of the question.
We would like it to be meaningful if we're going to incorperate symbols... but I am not very good at designing things like this..
I am Canadian / British, and he is American / Brazilian (anyway we could incorperate this?)
I also though of doing two little puzzle pieces that fit together...
If anyone has any good design ideas, or knows of anyplace I could see some wedding tattoos that have been done please help :) I've looked online and had trouble finding anything that isn't too crazy..
Thanks in advance!
Oh yes... and this might be a complication... but I have very tiny fingers (size 4), and my hubby has chubby hands (size 10) - so I need something that will look good on both sizes...
Hehe, don't worry I don't need the 'failed marriage talk' - I'd just like some nice designs. But thank you for the concern :)

You could get each others names or initials, or if you want to be the same you could do your monogram.
I always liked the idea of the date of your wedding, either in numbers or roman numerals.
As for the pieces of a puzzle idea, maybe your could take a phrase or saying you both like, have it start on one of your hands and finish on the other. Or incorporate half a heart in what ever design you choose, although might be too best friends forever.
I also thought of the word love or something similar in the other persons native tongue but you both probably speak english so I don't think that would work.
And my last idea is to have a biblical verse, maybe one you used at your wedding, or one that has to do with marriage.

No such thing as a good wedding ring tattoo. First off, fingers don't tattoo well, and they age poorly. You can't do anything with detail because of the area, it's just a bad idea. A lot of artists won't do finger tattoos. I will start by saying, I have a lot of faith in marriage and wish you two nothing but the best, but, you cannot guarantee yourself that you two will be together forever. Have you done a search here on Yahoo Answers to see how many people are asking about covering or removing names, dates, and ring tattoos? What happens if you divorce? Would your new partner want to be reminded daily about your failed marriage? I know it sounds harsh, but, it's something to think about. I have been married 16 years, and would never consider getting my husband's name tattooed on me. I do however honor my husband by having tattoos to represent our children, who were created in love, and even if something would happen to our marriage, that would never change.

and i don't think the size difference in ring size will matter.. the tattoo will just look bigger on his finger than yours since yours are smaller.
happy getting tattooed.
