How to open file .avi.001, .avi.002 and so on ?

I have some DVD Rip files, how do I open them ?

    download hjsplit (google it)

    Open .avi.001 file from it. And press join.

    Wait for proccess 2 complete. U will get a complete file

    (Remeber 2 put all files in single folder)

    It sounds like the files have been compressed and truncated by some kind of software... There should be one particular file which is the key... normally called ****.rar

    Download a rar archive extractor like ExtractNow and try extracting either this file or the first file in the series... It should de-compress and re-join all the files back together and voila! you can watch your movie...

    You might need to use some archiver program like 7-zip to extract the files. 7-zip is free and open source unlike WinRAR or WinZIP.

    You may download VLC player for a try, I know it can play avi video, go and google search for it.

    Or you may convert your video to wmv video for a try, I know windows media player play wmv video well. If you don't know how to convert video, I think this step by step direction would help you a lot

    Either unzip them using winzip

    Or download vclmediaplayer... if its a video file... it will play it. It plays EVERYTHING...

    right click on them. select open with and choose a program
