Decoding Region Restriction DVD?
One of my favorite movies was never released in the US so I watched it online. The DVD recently came out and I ordered one however it has a region 4 restriction on it and in order to watch it on my laptop or even dvd player I need to strip the restriction. I've tried software like AnyDVD which didn't work. Does anyone know of any type of place I can take the DVD to have the restriction stripped?

1. Purchase a DVD player that is region free (they are available),
2. check if your DVD player can be switched (temporarily), to other zones.
3. In your desktop computer you can re-flash your DVD drive and it allows you to view up to 5 DVD from different regions), until after it locks you into the last one you watched. (then have it re-flashed)
I also agree with the other answer, and I would use a program called DVD Rip 3.2 and rip the DVD to AVI, so you can watch it anytime without worrying about regions

Use DVD Decrypter. I have been using that sucker for years and allows to strip any Region Restriction, eliminate PUOs (prohibited user operations, such as skipping the company's logo) and has other neat features. like alowing you to burn your freshly stripped- ISO file into a new, region-free version of your movie. Try it! You won't be disappointed. Besides, it's free! Google for it.

Save your time and just get a Region-free DVD player. My friend just got this one http://tinyurl.com/lgregionfreedvd for $135 with HDMI up conversion, USB slot, and he used some coupons from http://twitter.com/yesasia_coupons to get it at a lower price.

Nobody, at least a commercial company, will copy a commercial DVD for you, that is something you need to do yourself or find a friend to help you with.
