Is T.V camera different than regular cameras?? Help!!?

I was just wondering if we see television, do we see it as mirrored view? or how do we see it?

because I know someone who has crooked face whenever he takes pictures or recording himself on camcorder (he looks perfect when i see him in person) but he didnt look crooked on a television? how can this be? the T.V camera different than regular camera? so whenever someone who has crooked face will look fine on T.v?
