Here's a Question....?

Why is it that when people ask a question about their computer, they seem to fail in supplying the appropriate information about their computer?

It is not like it is too much to ask to say..."The Model number of my computer is..." or "I am having trouble with my Brand & Model...it is not doing THIS"

"Help me fix my computer?" Doesn't help...cause we have not a clue what your computer is.

Is it too much to ask for people to supply enough information for us to help them?

Update:

@ H-Man - I am sure that when you are asking for help...you at least describe the problem (As best you can) to help the person on the other end help you. Some manage to miss that much. TY for thinking we are Mind Readers....you read my mind...

@ Taylor - I understand that some people may not know what they have INSIDE their computer...but the model number is on the outside (usually)

If they are like me, computer illiterate, it doesn't really occur to add that, I see what the problem is and am absolutely stumped at how to resolve the problem.

I guess we think you experts are mind readers LoL.

I have had the same thing by other users in other sections.

It depends on the question. If it's a question that can only be answered with make, model, ram, rom, all that jazz, then the person should have the information handy. However, most people aren't complete computer whizzes, and either don't know their information or don't know where to find it. THAT is where you can step in and help them out, since you seem to know what you're talking about when it comes to computers.

People do that. They just think, and don't get me wrong, I have done this before, that people will already know what you are talking about. Some are just dumb.
