"Deviated Septum" Surgery - "Nasal Steptoplasty"?
I am suppose to have this.
Has anyone heard anything about it? Or better yet, either known someone who Has had it or gone through it themselves?
If and when you had it done, did you have anything else done as well?
If so what? And how do you feel afterwords? And how long ago was your procedure?
PS: Also suppose to have a "Coblation Submucous Resection of Inferior Turbinates" and something called an "Out Fracture of Inferior Turbinates" done during the surgery as well.
YIKES !! Any help out there ?? ....

I had this done 4 years back.
You will be under general anasethetic for about 2 hours, you will not look any different when you come round and you will have your nose packed with surgical gauze which you will need to keep in for about 6-8 hours.
It will hurt for about 12 hours afterwards, but don't worry, they will give you some super-strong painkillers which make you feel pretty out-of-it, but that can be due to having the anaesthetic anyway.
All in all, you will be feeling better after 24 hours.
Just be careful of your nose and don't knock it or bump it for a couple of weeks afterwards - it will still feel a bit sore and will be healing.
