What does one do on a break from college?
Assuming I can't get a job because of a lack of experience and the crappy economy, what do I do? Most things require a degree now, but I need some time off of school.

some suggestions: look for a volunteer position using what you learned in university, or in the area you want to work, to build up your contacts and experience when you graduate.
IDo you live near the university? If so, could you work for a prof, in his/her area of research - more likely if you are at least a Junior and have good grades. This may be voluntary; however, the prof may have some research funds to pay you.
Some students work overseas on exchange program, if you are able to arrange it at this timne in the year.
Or, go and do something that you really want to do. You may not have the opportunity after you graduate.
