It seems reasonable to me.

Whats right? That is just a pacifist party that had never accomplished a damn thing or never will.If the republicans don't get on the stick they will be lower than the libertarians and even the green party.

Liberatartans choose, an oligarchic dictatorship the place the wealthy and useful rule over all people like serfs. The Libertarian ideology is according to fiction. it is thoroughly according to fiction novels by ability of pulp fiction author Ayn Rand. Libertarianism is utiopian like communism. Utopias do not exist truthfully. A libertarian government might cave in for a similar reason communism collapsed, because of the fact it is an economic gadget, not one among those government. Libertarians worship money and greed.

You are correct. The Libertarain party is very reasonable with everything except big government.
In response to some of the other answers. I don't want to be protected from anybody. I can do that for myself, and for my family, thank you. I just need government to get out of the way so I can do business in the best manner for myself and my customer. If I don't treat them right, gues what, they won't be my customers anymore.
I'm a small farmer, too smal to collect farm subsidies, and I want to be able to sell fresh milk, meat, and eggs direct to consumers to save them money, and make more myself. No foodborne illnesses have originated with a small producer, always with the agribusinesses who happen to be USDA inspected. Why would that be?
The "war on drugs"? What a joke. Huge waste of funds, and resources that could be spent fighting violent crime. All to support a corrupt court system. (Here in Scranton PA we just had 2 judges go to jail for taking kickbacks.)
Bailouts to big business. What? Aren't businesses supposed to MAKE money? If they don't then they SHOULD fail. The country would wind up stronger without the dead wood.
These are all libertarian ideals, and they seem reasonable to me.

there is nothing wrong with it, which is why the republican moderates will wind up going to the libertarian party.
Liberals couldn’t possibly destroy the Republican Party.
But we don’t need to try.
It is being destroyed from within.
1. Karl Rove and his “turn political discourse into an open sewer” tactics have turned off a lot of people.
2. The religious fanatics still have too much power.
3. The bigots haven't been encouraged to HIT THE ROAD
THEREFORE:
If these problems are not fixed, the Republican Party will DIE.
WHY?
THERE WILL BE A MASS EXODUS OF MODERATES TO THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY.
AND THE REMAINDER OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY WILL DROWN IN ITS OWN BILE

50% of the people are employed by the Government, so when voting time comes they will be voting for more big government.
Wha La....The Dem's automatically get 50% of the voters.
The Libertarians just drain votes from the Republicans. And that 1 or 2 percent can turn an election.

It doesn't protect citizens from abuses by businesses b/c it puts private property rights first and those rights are to protect owners.
The profit motive isn't the only thing that justifies protection on a moral basis.
The Libertarian platform takes away much of the "leviathan" that we have reasoned is necessary to protect us from us; me from you or vice versa.
The worst thing is that at its core it promotes selfishness and greed.

Democrats don't like their support of a minimalist form of government, and Republicans don't like their support of civil liberties.
