Isn't it hysterical watching the GOP?
They come out every hour on the hour spouting nonsense and expect the american public to buy into their rubbish. 24/7 they are on the news shows looking dead in the camera and telling boldfaced lies. The more they talk the lower their ratings and the higher the presidents. Yet they are too dumb to figure out that it is not working. I can only hope that another party emerges from the ashes. We need at least a 2 party if not 3 or 4 party system. However they must be parties with legitimate platforms and ideas
Typical responses. want to say I am ranting but you obviously do not watch the news channels to see the mindnumbing rants of the so called GOP leaders. Canter, Boehner, Cheney, etc come on at every opportunity to tell boldfaced lies.

Yes because they just don't get it.
Besides I love to watch Rep congressmen make fools out of themselves by calling Obama and Dem's names. I'm an independent myself.
Rasmussen only polls in the Rep's areas. Just like His poll about who was going to win the election. Rasmussen but McCain to win the day of the election (not even counting the other presidential candidates) it was 52% for Obama and was 48% for McCain. When you add in the the other candidates it was Obama 53% - McCain 42% and everyone else 5%. Rasmussen only polls Reps--Rasmussen is like Fox news only half truths.
Gallup poll has been right on the money every time. Polling today at 65% and 86% meeting or exceeding expectations for the first 100 days.

Here is what isn't working. The stimulus bill was passed almost 10 weeks ago. Nobody who voted for it read it. Obama claimed it would save or create between 2,000,000 and 3,000,000 jobs. We are losing more that 600,000 jobs a week. There is no incentive to invest nor will there be. The only incentive to invest is a tax increase. The market is still low enough to have investors show a loss. GM has been bailout to the tune of $52 billion. Now they are shutting their doors. All we have to do is show a little patients. If we show enough patients everybody who is working will be working for the government.

Especially Boehner. He needs a new speechwriter. He keeps saying the same things over and over. They are drowning and the democrats are swimming in high ratings. You would think by now they would come up with some ideas and help this bushed up country! They'll look back and regret why they became the party of NO, especially after Bush and Cheney are hanging from a tree.

Actually all your question is is a rant against the republicans. You go on to make a few examples but they are so vague that they don't say anything. It's like you are a hater. And judging by those who agree it's sad, no one really had an example, just followed blindly along with what you said. To bad, this is the reason they will be back in power 2010 and 2012.

They are a party of politicians who do not learn from their mistakes. They say and do the same things over and over and never realize citizens, except for hard core base, have moved beyond them. Haven't the last couple elections told them anything? How many seats in the upper and lower Congress do they have to lose before they wake up.*

If I can put aside the "big picture" view of the seriousness of the conditions faced by all of us and slip into a "subjective" even selfish mindset, then "Yes, the crash and burn of the buffoons is justified and hilarious and well-earned by their "workings" of many years!"
Unfortunately, I have conditioned myself to look at things (I hope) realistically, objectively, non-judgmentally and to look ahead for repercussions of proposed action and the implications of no action.
I scare myself frequently. I wish at times I could wrap myself in some doctrine as some do and (in my mind anyway) be always right! But then reason prevails once again and I look for information about the issues that I can discuss and apply to urge the pols toward a balanced solution for the common good.
Objectively, it is tragedy personified when our reps act so futilely and foolishly. It will be the death knell of our Nation. When real life threats are so immense and immediate some pols are worried about Party and the next election and tearing-down the opposition. Others go so far as to creatively find threats that are so remote or moot that they do not exist.
Yes, a multiparty system would be different. It works in many countries. Sometimes nobody knows how it could possibly work but in spite of that the countries and the people survive in a high standard of living and with public safety nets and better educational systems!
Is it miracle or is it lack of publicity for the truly cooperative work done through discussion, negotiation, compromise ,and view to the common good for their constituents? With that many Parties it does take real work and cooperation to achieve anything. Their pols have learned to talk with one another as opposed to what many of ours are doing, talking at the other side and at the cameras.
I would welcome a change to multiparty politics. However, I fear that the existing corporate, political (if there be a difference), media, and cultural/social mindsets will resist such a positive development, for it would mean current power centers would be diluted.
(A totally subjective aside here.)
Now watch some ultra-patriotic "real American" assail you and me for proposing the demise of our "American" system and jump to the conclusion we want comm'nizm or sos'lizm. They have reason to feel threatened I will admit. For in a multiparty system the individual could have more direct input to their reps, and "in real life" only the truly thinking and clear communicating constituents will hold the ear of their rep for long. Real discussion and real debate would be more commonly used. The BS artists would soon be ignored i will bet. Sorry in advance to any who ore offended, but if you feel I am talkin' to you think again, for I try to avoid talking TO but strive to discuss WITH. But only real clear thinking persons need apply. The only BS I want to "handle" is the BS I will add to my compost heaps to grow my veggies.
Note To "oldstyleman_2000": I wish you were rantin' & ravin'! But the current threats facing our Nation & the rest of the world ARE real. Sadly, mostly your take is accurate & correct. Frighteningly so!
Note To "BS Detector": I do not intend to demean you nor your "handle". I find myself in frequent agreement partially or in whole, with your concise and incisive comments. Can you bottle some of that conciseness and send it too me? I do so need it ...

I for one am glad that you all find us funny.Right now you have a Democrat in the oval office.I wish Him all the luck in this world .He and We(most of all) need it ,in these dangerous and troubled times. That the party out of the oval office has views that are funny to you .Fine, that's the two party system .And by the way ,there's plenty of "ranting "from both sides .Thank you for the two points.

Get a life. Spouting nonsense? If they are doing that, they had good examples from the liberals. That's all the Dems do.....spout off about anything and everything.

I guess liberals are more funny. Ill admit I get a kick out of men dressing up as women.
