I have sharp pain in my abdomen (left). This has been going on for 3 days now. It worsens when I sit down...?

and when I sit down. It is relieved momentarily if I press on the spot where it hurts. When I wake up in the mornings, it doesn't hurt, but starts after an hour or 2 after waking.

the person above me is right, the appendix pain can even radiate up so as to feel like its kidney

which maybe it is depending on lower or upper abdomen

you would know if its a kidney stone

    maybe its a pulled muscle

if your female maybe its an ovarian cyst

wait a day or two or if any other symptoms develop

    then see a doctor

    good luck

The appendix is in your right lower quadrant, but pain on the left side could be reciprical pain radiating to that side. That pain, however, would usually be constant and accompanied by nausea and a fever. This almost sounds like a gastrointestinal issue, possible gas or a small ulcer. I wouldn't jump to conclusions without seeking medical advice from a doctor. If you have frequent heartburn, this may also be an acid reflux issue. Try modifying your diet to see if the pain subsides. Foods containing large amounts of tomato sauce can often cause increased stomach distress.

Is it at the bottom of your abdomen? I can't remember which side the appendix is on, but you should definitely go to the doctor.
