WHY do people ASK Questions... and then don't Pick a BA?

I have a hard time trying to decide whether they don't READ the 'Answers' they receive...

Or whether they are 'overwhelmed' by the ANSWERS they receive, and can't PICK ONE as BA!

I have no idea but it annoys the crap out of me. I hate going back through questions I've answered just to vote for myself as best answer.

You use 5 points to ask a questions, when you vote best answer you get 3 back, so really you just spend 2 points to ask the question. I really think that people are being careless with their points :]

Maybe they can't be bothered once they have got the answer they want it's the same when they don't give a thumbs up for a good reply. I thumbs up a good answer even it is of a different opinion to mine. I give thumbs down if people are leaving nasty comments or attacking other answerers. I always pick my own best answer - the only time I don't is when people haven't given me a proper answer, messed about, or didn't understand my question. Then I let it go to vote

I had some outstanding questions when I got suspended the 1st and 2nd times... Sometimes I've gotten a best answer within minutes of asking, and couldn't pick a BA yet (then I forgot). Other times, internet outages, or just got too busy. Lots of reasons.

i do no longer think of the the "regulars" try this , yet in line with threat human beings testing YA or perhaps human beings ask maximum of they ignore particular ones....i attempt to decide on BA with in a 24 hour era. I quite have seen the assorted questions that ppl have not chosen a BA to, that's fairly loopy that there are that many.

Most people ask the question and then leave it and never come back.

Sometimes it's because they get the answer before the 4 hours has passed and then they leave because they have the answer and don't bother to come back and select a Best Answer.

While it's annoying, you get the benefit:

If they choose you as Best Answer you get 10 points.

However, if it goes into the "In Voting" status and you vote for your answer and get Best Answer you get 11 points. 1 point for voting and 10 points for the Best Answer.

    Good luck.

i think some people just ask questions cause its a social event rather than actually looking for an answer

I myself have pondered this question. I think only once, I let my

question go to voting. Because there were so many excellent answers.

    Indecisive....

Source(s): Sometimes there are too many Great answers...However, I always pick a BA. My Contacts know I chose BA because I like the answer. Nothing personal to them..
