If God supposedly sends people to hell....?
then why did He die on the Cross so that ALL could be saved?
Couldn't He have saved Himself a trip? Why do folks avoid the Cross?

Addition:
You hear people saying that they are so upset that God sends people to hell.
Yet they AVOID the one solution that God has provided, which IS the Cross.
If God sends people to hell, WHY would He provide a solution that cost Him His life?

He died so that ALL could be saved...that is not a debatable point...you either believe that or you don't.
The point missing from your statement in question form is that ALL have an opportunity and choice to be saved from hell. Not believing is a choice.
The reason people avoid the Cross is because they do not have the courage to accept that they are chosing their own course to hell. It's easier to explain that away with things like "fate" and "destiny". Sad, but true.

Well as you know he doesnt send us to hell unless we make the choice to go there that is why we all havefree choice. God knows those of us that will come to know him give him our life have a personal relationship with him . He also knows who won't but that is because he is God the creator of all things. People avoid the cross as they don't want to look at their sins, they would rather be complacent and think God loves all but we who know him know God also hated.

But he told us he did not pray for the world only those he was given.
Some are not wanting his saving, some prefer evil to good, if they all wanted salvation they could have it, but they don't, Suffering is why many avoid the cross, no one wants to suffer as they don't know the great benefit of it.
can anyone be saved without the cross?
all things are possible for God.

If God died.. he'd be dead
Actually St. Paul is the chap who put forward all these ideas .. he hijacked a revolutionary flower power teacher's philosophy
and turned it on its head
and invented a whole new religion
that's been giving all of us a headache for some time now
really, the only hell that we have to face is the one we create for ourselves
in this world
or the next instalment ***

God doesn't send ANYONE to hell, you send yourself there. You choose to live your life apart from God, you choose to sin. So then you choose to spend your afterlife away from him-in hell.
Jesus Christ died on the cross carrying the weight of all the sins of the world so that if you truly choose to be with God, and you repent for your sins, you can.

Not everyone will be saved. If you believe the story then those who take Jesus into their hearts and accept that he died on the cross for them will be saved, and if you do not do anything stupid. Psychopathic serial killers probably are not going to heaven, but then again who knows they may if they repent.

You contradict yourself.
If Jesus died on the cross and there is no hell, then what's the big deal. Your idea makes it not much of anything. Don't avoid the cross in your life. Avoiding sin is part of that! Sorry, but if avoiding sin wasn't part of it, Jesus wasn't preaching for something we do automatically. You are contradicting Jesus. He spoke about eternal death.
