  • Daughter crying at school! What's the best way to deal with this?

My daughter started 1st grade last week. She cries every morning saying she doesn't want to go, and will often cry during the day while she is in class. Last year in kindergarten, she stayed only until 11:15, and ofcourse now she stays until 2:40. When I ask her what she cries about, she says she misses me, and doesn't like having to do all the work. When she comes home, she happy and is excited to tell me all about the "fun" stuff she did that day!

Is this just a phase, should I just ignore it and let her work it out, or is this a sign of a bigger problem??

    Help!!

  • Extramarital affair, do you think? Or just friends?

Do you think that married people, if given the chance, would like to have someone of the opposite sex in their lives that they could retreat to safely when they are stressed? Basically, an emotional friend that they can love in the background with no demands, just a private, "exclusive" support system? Provided that the relationship does not turn physical. Would this relationship be inappropriate for a married person? Base the answer on the fact that this would be a lifetime relationship.

  • Keep having this dream about an ex?

I am happily married with a beautiful family...we are very content in our lives.

However, I keep dreaming about my first love...someone I haven't seen in over 10 years...sometimes they are "friendship" type dreams, in others we are more intimate. We have occasionally talked in the past, but we haven't in over 6 months. He has said to me before that he dreams about me often, same type of dreams.

BTW...we have not discussed intimate things or anything like that when we talk...it's always day to day, how are the kids types of things.

What do you think this means????

  • 10th Anniversary Trip...need ideas!?

  • Dispute with my hubby...what do you think?

We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary this winter...We decided 3 years ago that we would take a trip together to celebrate our 10th. I have been frugal and saved about $5K in the past 3 years so that there would not be an excuse not to go because of money. The money I've saved has come from the household budget, so it's been a bit of work for me. We are in a very comfortable financial situation now. However, my hubby thinks that we should not go (I was starting to plan the trip now to get cheaper rates) b/c the economy is rocky...this is frustrating for me b/c I've been looking forward to it and sacrificing slightly to save this money! BTW-we have 3 small children and this would be our first time away together in 7 years. I start Med school in the fall of 2010, so we would not be able to go again for quite a while. Am I being unreasonable for wanting to go away with him? Our marriage is very good, he's just concerned about spending such a large amount.

  • Men: If one of your guy friends was cheating on his wife, would you confront him & tell him to STOP?

I asked my husband this and he said he wasn't sure what he would do! He is a Christian man, I just assumed he would want to knock some sense into a guy that would run around on his wife! I know all my girl friends and I would jump on any woman in our circle of friends if we knew they were cheating! What would you do????

  • Have a great marriage, but?

My husband and I have been married for almost 10 years. We have 3 kids ages 6, 2 and 10 months. My husband works hard and provides a nice life for us. We don't argue often, and when we do, it's usually over because we just don't care to fight anymore, not because an issue gets resolved. I'm a SAHM and go to Nursing school full time. I list these things out to acknowledge what a truly blessed life I have, HOWEVER, lately I'm discontent with my life. Our intimacy is average. I just don't have a Passion for life anymore. I feel like the family sucks me dry...and I'm giving more than I have in me to give most of the time. Any ideas on what's going on with me...? Is this just a stage that women go through? Or am I in the wrong place? Please don't bash me over this question... I know I have a pleasant life... What if I want an extraordinary life? Is that a bad thing?

  • 11 months after c-section, bleeding after exercise?

I've had 4 C-Sections, the last one 11 months ago along with a tubal ligation. I have been breastfeeding the baby and he's down to a morning and night feeding only. My menstrual cycle return 9 months post partum, and has been every 21 days, instead of 28. I started exercising about that time and everytime I do a heavy workout (lots of abs, running 3 + miles) I bleed. The discharge is red, so I know it's from the uterus...not a tear or anything. Does this mean it's too soon to be working out so strenuously? I love the results I'm getting, so I really don't want to slow down on the workouts, but with all the kids, I definantly cannot afford to hurt myself. There is no pain with bleeding. Anyone else had this happen? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Reposting this question because I only got 1 answer last time! Hoping for more input this time! :)

  • Men: Why would a man do this?

An old boyfried found me on a social networking site a while back. We caught up via email and shared how life had been for the past 10 years and had a friendship for about a year. My husband was uncomfortable with the friendship, so I cut off all contact w/ the friend telling him the reason and wishing him the best. That was in December. He still frequently sends emails (about once a week) just to check in, see how things are going, etc...I don't respond. But he still tries to contact me. I don't understand why he continues to reach out...particularly when I don't reply! He's engaged to be married in October, which he never told me...his mom told me in April...he got engaged at New Year's. Just wondering what he could be thinking or trying to do to continue this. Any ideas would be appreciated! And, should I tell my husband about the emails? We are happily married.

  • Any suggestions on where to find resources for spicing up the bedroom?

My newly married friend asked me for some suggestions or ideas for things to do...NO porn or nasty stuff! We know the couple too well for me to share my experiences with her, so I need to refer her to books or whatever.

  • Married Men: Why does my husband do this?

My husband is a great guy and I have very little to complain about. The one thing that really bothers me is that when I call him during the day while he is at work he often times does not answer my call. When and if he calls me back, he is always in a hurry and our conversations rarely last more that 20 seconds. Yet, he takes calls 7 days a week, during dinner, etc. from clients and takes however long is needed to talk to them. He's not cheating, he's attentive and loving in every other way, but this is so frustrating. Any insight as to why he may be doing this?

  • Why are census workers required to take GPS coordinates of my house?

The census workers are taking GPS coordinates of each residence in the US. They have to document the coordinates within 40 ft. of the front door. The census worker documents it, and then their Supervisor confirms it. What in the heck is this about????!!!!

  • Going back to school, tips on helping my 3 children adjust to mom being out of the house?

Going back to school, tips on helping my 3 children adjust to mom being out of the house?

I have a 6 year old, a 2 year old and a 10 month who I have always been a SAHM to. I am returning to school to finish my nursing degree and will be gone 2 days a week and have tons of homework at night. I'm taking what classes I can online, so I'll be doing that at home. Any advice/tips on how to balance family life and school? My husband is very supportive of the idea of me going back to school, but it remains to be seen how much support I'll get from him once reality kicks in. Thanks in advance!
