Do you let your church tell you what to believe....?

That is good question. I used to not any more.

I learn to not take it if some thing doesn't sound scriptural.

The Church is not a building. We are morally wrong for calling it that. The building we worship in is just a building where we worship. The Church is the body of Christ.

I turn to God's word whenever I need to know something, or I go to God myself. I even take Pastors advice. I don't believe in any religion, I believe in the Truth!

The sin nature is always there, but I keep it down so that it doesn't effect me! I put my faith in the finished work at the cross, and that is all I need to do! The old covenant is done away with!

I believe what the =Bible tells me. I go to church to fellowship and hear the pastors sermon, but I always check and give true life and meaning to what is said. We are a Blessed Church as our Pastor is truly in the word but if he ever said anything that was not Biblical I would toss it out as a wind of doctrine but as I said my pastor is a God fearing man.

I just try to work it out for myself. Nobody can *tell* me what to believe, though I'm happy to listen to people's opinions as part of forming my own.

I don't have a church BTW, so I don't know if that should make a difference.

Your gods word tells you to kill me for non-believing, will you do it? Or do you only follow the parts that are easy to obey?

Which one are you? Its my church because i believe what it teaches not because they teach me what to believe. I:am a child of God. believer in Jesus. And love the Bible the Word of God.

I turn to resources that aren't outdated by approximately 2,000 years to help me find my way in life.
