Do I have to fly both legs of a flight?

Houston, Texas to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Continental is about $1025.00 round trip for two people. Austin, Texas to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Continental is $600.00 round trip for two people on the same date. The Austin to Cabo flight stops in Houston and then changes planes to the exact same flights as the Houston to Cabo trip. So can I purchase the Austin to Cabo trip and just use the Houston to Cabo leg? Do I really have to drive to Austin to save almost $400? This cant be right is it?

  • If you don't fly one of the legs, the airline will consider you a no-show and canx your entire itinerary. Chances are, you will not get any refunds too. They do this to keep people from 'cheating the system' because airlines often offer discounts to certain cities like Austin.

yep, ya gotta drive to Austin. If you show up in Houston, they will charge you the fare difference, or you don't get on the flight.

It is $200 r/t Albuquerque-DFW-Pittsburgh....but if you just get on in DFW, it's $350. Go figure!`\

They won't let you on in Houston as your ticket will have been cancelled due to No Show
