What is the shifting pattern for a 'Three on The Tree' column shift on a 1968 Ford Bronco?

    leanne has it right ! i use to drive lots of them but now days the shifter is on the floor.

    It's an "H" pattern - with 1st gear back and down, 2nd gear in and up and 3rd gear in and straight down.

    It's not too conducive to speed shifting, it's prone to wear and sticking in two gears at the same time - probably that's why they don't produce "three on the tree" shifters anymore.

    I suspect they were a boon to Hurst floor shifter sales though.

    Ok, mine was H pattern but 1st was down, reverse was up, then 2nd

    was up and forward then 3 down and forward. Was on a

    dodge p/u.

    here you go.... up to you and down all the way is 1st, back to the middle down and up all the way is 2nd and straight down from2nd is 3rd. back to middle up to you and up all the way is reverse. hope it helps
