what is the code for an interior garage door?

I am looking to put a door in my house that will lead into the garage from inside the house. Someone mentioned that it must be at least one inch thick and be fire resistant for at least thirty minutes. Is this true?

You will need to check the code in your area. It will vary from 30 minutes upwards of 60. Most steel doors are fire rated and it will be printed on the door. You can also check your home center (s), they should know the code for your area.

YEs closer to 2" thick and metal I think. A garage door is considered outside door like front door in case of fire.
