I'm trying to figure out how insurance and hospital bills will work when I deliver my baby?

I'm trying to figure out this insurance stuff and its very confusing! I've never really had hospital bills before. But, my insurance will kick in once I've reached the $1000 deductible. I've made some payments and my cost for my ob/gyn is $660. I've made all those payments already. But those won't go toward the deductible until after the baby is delivered. The baby is due at the beginning of June. What kind of bill should I expect from the hospital? Am I right in assuming it is separate from my cost for my ob? When I do reach the $1000, which should be soon, should I expect money back from that original thousand that I spent? Any tips would be great! Thanks

You should contact your insurance company. They will be able to answer all of your questions.

But usually, you pay your deductible, and the insurance will pay their portion according to your plan. You will then pay the difference. Example: Some insurance companies pay 80% after you have reached your deductible, you would then pay 20%. The hospital and any other doctors would bill you for the amount your insurance does not pay. If you can't pay it all at once, just contact them and work out a payment agreement. Congratulations!
