  • How can I find a place that does gender ultrasounds?

I live in Idaho and I want to know the gender of my baby. I'm past 15 weeks now, but my doctor isn't going to do the ultrasound for at least another month. I know there are places you can go to find out, but I don't know how to find them. I'm hoping there is a place I can go to in the Boise area. Anyone know anything that could help?

  • How to heat my home during a power outage?

I live in a very rural small town and rent. The house has an electric furnace and no gas capabilities. There is not a fireplace and since I rent I can't put in any wood burning heat sources. The winters get cold and I am afraid of the power being out for long periods of time. How can I safely heat a room for emergency situations? It is me, my wife, and one year old child.

  • What's wrong with my mango?

I started peeling it and there were these brown vein like things all over the inside. Some ran kind of deep and you could peel them out. They were long and branched out. It totally grossed me out and I threw it away. Anyway know what was up with it?

  • Vegans/Vegetarians/anyone on a diet, do you ever feel left out of social situations?

I have noticed that anyone with a special diet, whether trying to loose weight or doesn't eat meat, etc, always seems to end up like an out cast. Does anyone else ever feel this way? I was trying really hard to loose weight and I seriously limited my junk food/sweet intake and it was like this horrible separation from my co-workers. Like it is socially unacceptable to say "no thank you" when someone brings donuts. Sad, but true! Then I was thinking about vegans and vegetarians, do you ever feel like you can't eat out with friends or family because of your choices? Or do you feel awkward about eating at other people's houses or social situations? What are your experiences?

  • Should I get a wii or new clothes?

Ok, so my mother in law lets us pick out our own Christmas present and I get about $200. I really want a wii because I think it will be fun for my husband and I, especially with winter coming up and we live where it is too cold to go outside. I also mainly want it so I can get the wii fit plus so I can workout at home once in a while (I like to run but with my baby it makes it hard to get to the gym 6 days a week like I used to!). The other thing I want is new clothes. Since loosing about 50 pounds, then having a baby and actually weighing less than I did before my pregnancy, most of my clothes are too big. So, big delimma! A wii or new clothes?

  • I'm trying to figure out how insurance and hospital bills will work when I deliver my baby?

I'm trying to figure out this insurance stuff and its very confusing! I've never really had hospital bills before. But, my insurance will kick in once I've reached the $1000 deductible. I've made some payments and my cost for my ob/gyn is $660. I've made all those payments already. But those won't go toward the deductible until after the baby is delivered. The baby is due at the beginning of June. What kind of bill should I expect from the hospital? Am I right in assuming it is separate from my cost for my ob? When I do reach the $1000, which should be soon, should I expect money back from that original thousand that I spent? Any tips would be great! Thanks

  • What is your favorite category to answers questions in?

I used to just scan the front page, but for the past few weeks I've become addicted to answering questions in the food and drink category. I never answer anything else anymore, I just love talking about food! The only problem is, sometimes the questions come slowly and I have nothing to do but wait until someone asks a new one. Am I the only one addicted to a category?

  • Do I need to confirm my pregnancy with a doctor?

I haven't had a period and have taken two home tests that were both positive. I called an OB clinic and they scheduled my first appointment for a month away, for an ultrasound and some other stuff. But before I go, should I be seeing another doctor to confirm my pregnancy or is the two home tests enough? I also don't feel morning sickness, but I've heard that's normal at my early stage, but I don't have tender nipples. Should I be confirming my pregnancy with a doctor?

  • Is it a bad idea to go on rides at Disneyland while trying to conceive?

My hubby and I are trying to get pregnant, and we are thinking about a trip to Disneyland. My 'peak' time for getting pregnant is the exact same week we would be at Disneyland. We'd really love to go, but if going on those bumpy rides is going to effect whether or not we can conceive, then I don't want to miss a change to get pregnant or hurt what may have already begun. Any experiences or advice? Am I being overly cautious?

  • I need ideas for a birthday present with a Texas theme.?

My husband's birthday is coming up and I'm trying to come up with some fun ideas for presents. He used to live in Texas and misses the brisket and blue bell ice cream. We live in Idaho and I don't know how to get ahold of either of those. Any ideas of other things? Or maybe a great brisket recipe I could make for him?
