Doesn't the idea of the rapture sound a tad evil?

People getting sucked up to a paradise and sneering down at those that found a different path, who are suffering and in great amounts of pain. That sounds like some serious twisted shiza to me.

Now you know reason #165 of why I am an atheist

The rapture as we know it is false teaching. There is a rapture, but it is of the wicked being sent to the lake of fire. Those who are alive and remain, are the good ones.

Moses was led out and away from danger.

Noah was protected from the flood wrath.

Lot was led out before the destruction.

Never has God raptured any good away.

He only takes the evil away.

    Proverbs 10:30

The righteous shall never be removed:

but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

LOL! Well I don't know about them up there "sneering" down at others left behind, but I see a lot of "holier then thou" attitudes because they think they have the secret and others don't.

Yes, that "loving God" is rather sadistic and mean - just because we CHOOSE (gave us free will) not to believe. Hummm
