Photo slideshow on new LCD television?

I'm having a party at my parents house this weekend and I would like to show a photo slideshow on their new 60" LCD tv. I have no idea how to do this. I just put all of the pics on a USB flash drive. If I plug this flash drive into the side of their TV, will a slideshow just start automatically? If so, will it loop on its own? (I want it to play over and over for a few hours)

Thanks

Update:

Ron - that is exactly what I am wanting to do (minus the music)

Their TV is an LG 52" LCD HDTV

The USB port on the side of there TV is most likely for service only.

If you have a laptop connect it via the VGA port or HDMI port on the PC if you have them. Next change the PC video resolution to match the TVs resolution or you will get no picture.

My instruction are the short version of what needs to be done so you will need to do additional research on how this works.

    Best of luck.

    Photo Slideshow On Tv

What kind of TV is it? What is the model? Some TV's can play back photo's through USB. I have a Sony KDL-52XBR6, all I have to do is put a bunch of photos on a flash drive, plug the flash drive into the USB port on the side of my TV, select the USB as an input and click start photo slide show. I have the choice of letting the photos play in order or shuffled. I can also add music to the flash drive and it will play at the same time as the slide show.

The USB is for memory sticks and such devices. I am not sure with the LG, but some models let you access the stick, as a computer would do, but only media files can be read. You might have to copy them over, then play.
