What is the most romantic story ever written - that is not Twilight?

What is the most romantic story ever written, that is not Twilight or one of its series components?  

It is unexpectedly rainy in the SF Bay Area this weekend.  The gardens will love it and it makes it a perfect opportunity to head off to the bookstore.

Some great writing would also be welcome.  I loved the Outlander Series with Jamie and Clair.  Twenty years ago, I was in love with Rhett and Scarlett.  I tend to read historical novels and business books.  The weather is presenting a perfect opportunity to explore the heart side of writing.

Any one have a suggestion?

Twilight? ha, that's funny. You're not IN LOVE with Taylor Lautner, you don't know him. How can a movie be one of the best ever because you find an actor in it attractive? I'm not a fan of Titanic just because of Leonardo (though he is gorgeous). And the story in Titanic isn't real. The sinking was, but not the love story.

The Other Boleyn Girl and The Virgin's Lover by Phillipa Gregory were great and historical love stories
The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Neffinegger was surprisingly romantic as well.  I loved it.

Probably Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, or Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Romeo and Juliet is considered very romantic, but I find it kind of stupid.
