i just saw someone in distress, wondering why christians would say Jesus is the only way and negate other ways. probably she's on another way than ours (which we should respect) and she met a fundamentalist christian (the one who easily says "blasphemy blasphemy")

i'm not saying this is the general case.

but what happend with your love for your brother ? i wonder....

even if you didn't answer that post, you can comment on this topic.

i think there's a "snake" growing in our christan chests, biting

anyone that doesn't agree with us...should we keep it further ?

what do you say

here's the example of christian (stressed) answers.

if she was in distress over her salvation yes Jesus is the only way because the bible says so. It would relieve her of her distress if she would accept Jesus as the only way and be saved. That is love for her to tell her the truth it is not a bad thing to show her the way. The bible says a quote from Jesus "I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father but by Me. what does that mean. It looks like one way.to me. I don't know what being a of greek orthodoxy has to do with it. There are many other scriptures that say the same thing. What bible do you read?

Nobody is saying that Jesus is not the way.

Im saying on my other account that we should respect each other believes and quit discriminating. If you want to read my post slowly you can really understand my point. Notice that I never said all Christians. There is no reason to get offended.

I know my believes, I don't force it upon others. They're mine and in my heart and I know whats right for me. I respect what others believe because in the end they are humans too. I know what I consider wrong but I don't need to share Im not your parents. I respect other religions because they do have a right to choose their own believes.

    Jesus Himself said

He is the way, the truth and the life.

If you really care about where this person could end up(in hell) without Christ, then the truth needs to be spoken.

As lovingly as possible, but never the less it needs to be said.

If they do not realize the consequences for rejecting so great a salvation, how will they know they need a savior?

Yes, we should love one another and treat others with respect. But, as a Christian, I would be compromising my faith if I thought that other religions are right. I don't ever tell someone that they are going to Hell and blah blah. But, a Christian can't make the claim that other religions are right. If you feel that way, maybe you should reconsider what you really believe in.

Well, she has heard about Jesus and it is her decision to accept or reject. No, no, my friend, there are some things we do not bend on, and Jesus being the way and the only way to the Father we do not alter. That goes against the basic belief in Christ. You don't lie to people just to be nice.

Religion began as a natural explanation of the universe. The problem started when people refused to except new evidence

Jesus IS the only way. He died for our sins, hundreds of people saw Him afterwards, when He rose from the dead- and literally billions of healings and miracles have been done IN HIS NAME.

How many other religions can boast of this?

ask them all how many homeless people they ignored on the way over to their SUV after work, thats a good judge of "American Christian Values" in my opinion.

Not all who claims to be Christians are Christians.

Not all people are going to heaven. That is the truth. If I were to say that truth is relative and everyone should believe as they want, I would be loving them straight to hell.
